Affiliate Disclosure

Transparency about how NutriPowerAdvisor is funded, what affiliate relationships we have, and how those relationships do — and do not — influence the content you read on this site.

Last reviewed:

NutriPowerAdvisor provides educational health, nutrition, fitness, and sleep content alongside free interactive calculators. Maintaining and expanding this resource takes time and money, and one of the ways we fund this work is through affiliate partnerships with selected retailers and brands.

We believe readers deserve to know exactly how a website earns its money, especially when that site publishes information that may influence health decisions. This page explains our affiliate relationships in detail.

What Are Affiliate Links?

An affiliate link is a special tracking URL that allows a retailer or brand to know that a visitor arrived at their site from ours. If that visitor goes on to make a purchase, we receive a small commission from the retailer. The commission comes out of the retailer's existing margin — it does not increase the price you pay.

Throughout our articles, you may see inline disclosures such as the following before sections containing affiliate links:

Disclosure: This article contains affiliate links. If you purchase through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Our editorial assessments are not influenced by these relationships — we cover both strengths and limitations of every product we review.

These inline disclosures are intended to give you a clear, in-context reminder. This page provides the broader context behind those reminders.

Affiliate Programs We Participate In

NutriPowerAdvisor participates in selected affiliate programs that align with the topics we cover. These currently include, and may expand to:

  • Major retailer programs such as Amazon Associates, where we may earn commissions on qualifying purchases.
  • Direct brand affiliate programs for selected health, nutrition, fitness, and sleep-related products where we have evaluated the brand and product independently.
  • Affiliate networks that aggregate programs from multiple merchants in the health and wellness space.

We are independently owned and operated. We are not owned by, nor are we a subsidiary of, any of the brands we link to.

No Extra Cost to You

When you purchase a product through one of our affiliate links, you pay the same price you would pay if you went to the retailer directly. The commission we receive is paid by the retailer out of their own margin as a referral fee. You are not charged any additional amount, and we never receive your payment information or any other personally identifiable purchase details.

We also do not receive personal information about who clicked our links or what they bought. Affiliate programs typically provide only aggregated data, such as the total number of clicks and total commissions earned, so we can understand which content is helpful but cannot identify individual readers.

Editorial Independence

This is the most important section on this page. Affiliate relationships create a conflict of interest in principle — sites that earn money when readers buy products have an incentive to recommend purchases. We take this seriously and have specific commitments designed to keep our content honest:

  • Editorial decisions are made before commercial considerations. Topics, product reviews, and recommendations are determined based on reader interest, available evidence, and editorial judgment — not based on which products carry the highest commissions.
  • Commission rates do not influence ratings. A product that pays a higher commission does not receive a higher rating from us. A product with no affiliate program at all may still receive a positive review if it is the best option for the use case.
  • We publish negative assessments. We have published, and will continue to publish, negative or critical reviews of products — including products we are affiliated with. Honest assessment is more valuable to our readers than comprehensive promotion.
  • We disclose where evidence is weak. Many supplements and wellness products are marketed with claims that the underlying research does not fully support. Where this is the case, we say so, even when we have an affiliate relationship with the product.

How We Handle Negative or Mixed Findings

When our research uncovers significant problems with a product — underdosed ingredients, weak evidence, misleading marketing, poor manufacturing standards, or unsupported health claims — we publish those findings, regardless of whether the product has an affiliate program available.

We may still include affiliate links to products with mixed reviews, because some readers may want to try them after weighing our assessment. Where this is the case, the review will clearly explain the limitations and the reader can make an informed choice. The purpose of our content is to help readers decide, not to maximize the likelihood that they buy.

How We Select Products to Cover

Products covered on NutriPowerAdvisor are selected based on a combination of:

  • Relevance to topics our readers are searching for and asking about
  • Quality of available evidence supporting (or undermining) the product's claims
  • Manufacturer transparency, including ingredient disclosure and third-party testing
  • Reasonable availability for purchase by our readership

We do not accept payment to write reviews, and we do not accept sponsored content presented as editorial. If we ever publish sponsored content in the future, it will be clearly and prominently labeled as such.

Affiliate Links Are Not Medical Endorsements

The presence of an affiliate link in an article should not be interpreted as a medical recommendation. Even when we discuss evidence-based products, decisions about what to take, in what doses, and in combination with what other medications are personal medical decisions. They depend on your specific health situation, medications, and circumstances — none of which we know.

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any supplement, particularly if you have an existing health condition, take prescription medications, are pregnant or nursing, or are considering supplementation for a child.

Updates to This Disclosure

We review and update this page periodically as our affiliate relationships evolve, regulations change, or our editorial practices are refined. The "Last reviewed" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent review.

Significant changes to our affiliate practices — for example, entering into a new type of partnership or changing how we label affiliate content — will be reflected here.
